  • Put always-on repository guidance in AGENTS.md.
  • Put path-scoped prompt rules in .vtcode/rules/*.md using YAML frontmatter.
  • Keep authoring notes and other workspace docs outside .vtcode/rules/ so they are not loaded into prompt memory.
